Thank you so much for visiting my site!
My name is Rebecca Caroline and I had the amazing fortune to grow up in the beautiful city of Charleston in the South Carolina Lowcountry. Today, I am a military spouse and home is where the Air Force sends us, which is currently South Korea.
As you look through my galleries, whether you feel reminiscent of a location you once visited, inspired to venture somewhere you've never been, or simply an appreciation of the beauty this world has to offer, I thank you for being here and allowing me to share a piece of myself with you.
My Goal is to Serve You
I offer a variety of travel and landscape photography to help you build an art collection that feels like home and an adventure!
What do I mean by that?
Well, think about a time that you were on a really special trip...somewhere fabulous...and you just wanted to "bottle up" the experience and bring it home with you. We long to preserve those details of our adventures so that we can enjoy them over and over.
Photography is a powerful way to do just that.
Thoughtfully selected original art has the potential to be some of the most meaningful and significant items in your home.
Unlike something mass produced from a big box store, an artist has the ability to create works that connect with you on a personal level. They allow you to feel something, provoke thought, remember something, inspire and motivate you or all of the above. These pieces are more than just decorations…they become something you actually care about and they make your house feel like a home.
Ask any interior designer…these details matter. It is worth being diligent and deliberate to find art that really speaks to the environment you want to create. It will inherently reflect you and your personality so it's worthwhile to find quality pieces over time that will endure.
Because you get to determine how something makes you feel, if you connect with a particular photo or if you connect with the photographer, you’ll never go wrong curating a collection that speaks to your heart.
I believe photography is art and art is for everyone.
I worked in the software industry for 20 years. While I learned so much and worked with many fantastic people, it is definitely a field that requires a lot of you.
Working nights and weekends to meet deadlines in a high performance, stressful environment wasn't something I wanted to do for the long haul. I knew I wanted to do something different where I could be more creative but for the longest time, I didn't know what that actually looked like.
Photography has been a love of mine for as long as I can remember. It fills me with excitement and peace all at the same time. One day, while out on a walk, it just came to me...that's it, THAT is what I'm meant to be doing.
Through this site, I hope to be able to contribute to my little family while doing something that I love but, the more significant point is that life is too precious to not be doing something meaningful and fulfilling.
Travel and landscape photography has provided me with the perfect opportunity to slow down, disconnect from the busy-ness of the day and connect with real life happening all around.
The people we encounter when we travel answer questions about life that we didn’t even know to ask. We are exposed to different beliefs, philosophies, customs, culture and traditions that shape others in the same way our own upbringing has formed our own perspective. And sometimes, these encounters even allow us to challenge and grow our own perspective in meaningful ways.
I believe the things that matter most in this world are not things at all. Our connection to God, nature, other people and ourselves creates the foundation that everything else that we think matters is built on.
To be able to do such joyful and fulfilling "work" fills me with tremendous gratitude.
I hope you enjoy it and I thank you for being here!
