South Korea: Land of the Morning Calm
Little did I know when we moved to South Korea what I was in store for during our 2-year stay. Life in Korea was eye-opening, interesting, challenging, and invigorating. I think the best way to introduce this gallery is to share my philosophy that traveling provides answers to questions we didn’t even know to ask.
It requires a higher level of engagement and energy to navigate foreign places and interact with people from a culture so different than my own. I found myself surprised and intrigued on a daily basis.
Having now left, I am thankful for the opportunity to have enjoyed the captivating colors, spectacular architecture, and delicious foods of South Korea. And, when I really think about life & how we live it, I learned the most from the kind people I encountered along the way.

View from the Village
Bukchon Hanok Village
Location: Seoul, South Korea
Orientation: Landscape
In Seoul, there are sights around every corner that stop you in your tracks so that you can take it all in. While walking back down the hill from Bukchon Village, this view of the city at dusk did just that.
As evening approaches, you can still see the National Folk Museum of Korea towering above the city surrounded by bright yellow autumn leaves still hanging on before the arrival of winter.
