The remote islands of Okinawa, Japan make up a large portion of the archipelago of the Ryūkyū Islands located in the Pacific Ocean and the East China Sea. There are so many incredible places in Okinawa with dramatic clouds and stunning beaches in every direction that makes you feel like you're living in a dream. It's even called the "Hawaii of Japan." The pace of island life is pretty slow, allowing each day to unfold organically and creating an amazing space for creativity to thrive.

After a long time (years) spent following a photographer on social media whose work I loved and admired, I decided to take one of her classes on creative photography.
I had only read some of the initial material after I signed up and I, excitedly, picked up my camera to go out shooting. It was a blast. I was trying different techniques and thoroughly enjoying myself.
At the end of the day, this particular photo was one of my favorites because it captures a real sense of the action and energy of the waves and what it was like to be there on that day.
